An Art Nouveau bead embroidery necklace inspired by the elegance of nocturnal moths

As daylight fades into twilight, nature reveals one of its most enchanting spectacles. Nightflight celebrates the graceful beauty of nocturnal moths through the flowing organic lines and decorative elegance of the Art Nouveau movement.

Delicate brass filigree evokes softly unfolding wings, while richly layered bead embroidery creates depth, texture, and movement. Sparkling crystals shimmer with every change of light, giving the necklace a magical, almost living presence. Inspired by the natural forms so beloved during the Belle Époque, the design transforms botanical curves and flowing lines into a wearable piece of art.

The project is available in two distinctive colorways, each telling its own story.

Twilight captures the final moments before nightfall with deep sapphire blues, luminous violet reflections, and warm antique gold. The crystals mirror the ever-changing colors of the evening sky, creating an atmosphere of mystery, serenity, and quiet elegance.

Absynth celebrates the vibrant artistic spirit of the Belle Époque. Rich emerald greens glow against antique gold and black embroidery, recalling the luxurious cafés, decorative posters, and creative freedom that defined the Art Nouveau era.

Although both versions share the same elegant construction, they offer two completely different moods—Twilight is cool, dreamy, and celestial, while Absynth is bold, vibrant, and decadently luxurious.

A faceted crystal drop completes the composition, adding graceful movement and enhancing the organic silhouette of the pendant.

Designed for experienced bead embroiderers, this project combines bead embroidery with bead weaving techniques and offers numerous opportunities to learn elegant construction methods, dimensional embellishment, and professional finishing techniques. Class is limited to a maximum of 20 students and minimum of 8 students. You can choose to Zoom from home or hang with others at the shop - we will be using the 51" big screen TV that I have in the shop
