This elegant spool ornament features Victorian ornaments around it. It is made using just Delica beads and some 8mm beads like crystals, pearls, druks or gemstones. The spool size used is 1 1/2" with a 3/4" center. Spools can be found on my website - owlbebeading.com - under beads - wooden. You create this design in advancing tubular peyote stitch and the pattern has both a diagram chart and a word chart for the pattern. This ornament pattern has 5 pages of detailed instructions and diagrams.
To make this ornament you need: Spool 1 1/2" with a 3/4" center (can be found at owlbebeading.com under beads - wooden) 8 colors of 11/0 Delicas (color numbers are listed) 8mm crystals, pearls, druks or gemstones 2" headpin Size 12 needle Beading thread of choice - Nymo D or Fireline Round nose pliers Scissors
